Low-fat diet plan


     The Low Fat Diet is low in fat and rich in complex carbohydrates. Animal fats are considered bad for heart disease and some cancers. Fats are limited because fat contains more than twice the calories of other foods and 7 times more easily converted to body fat than carbohydrates. We all need some fat, but no more than about 25 30 percent of calories should come from fat. None us of need the amount or type of fat commonly consumed in the American diet. The low fat diet encourages the consumption of complex carbohydrates. Complex carbohydrates are less fattening, very healthy, less easily converted to body fat and are a great source of energy.
