     Because of our reliance on processed foods, many people consume far more sodium than doctors recommend. Although most diets focus on limiting calories, carbohydrates or carbohydrates, the low-sodium diet promises to improve health by reducing the amount of sodium an individual consumes in a given day.

     Although some swear that a low-sodium diet is responsible for their weight loss, doctors typically recommend it to patients with conditions like heart disease or high blood pressure. Although the low-sodium diet includes a number of recommendations that are likely to lead to weight loss and improvements in overall health, maintaining an extremely low sodium intake may be a challenge for some individuals.
